Hopefully it will only get better…
From Croatia, through Greece to Egypt, countries around the world are slowly relaxing their coronavirus measures and getting back to normal. Of course, the situation does not yet resemble the situation before the epidemic, but we are getting closer to it with slow steps🙏

Last week, the European Commission unveiled a summer tourism rescue plan to help the hard-hit sector. This plan includes the opening of borders and the introduction of health measures, such as testing… Although many governments still discourage their citizens from traveling abroad, concerns still remain about the infection rate of COVID-19 and other, and even third waves, there are many economies dependent on tourism and these countries will open their borders as early as June.

Travel restrictions won't be so strict after all, how it looked for a while.

"The outlook for this year's summer vacation is ultimately more optimistic, than it seemed just a few weeks ago.

Following Greece, Invia has the best sales in Egypt every year, however, it remains closed for the time being, however, its opening is being intensively discussed. On the contrary, the third most popular is Turkey, it looks promising and, like many other destinations, is currently preparing for the return of tourists.

For example, Smartwings promises, that from the end of June it will gradually start flying to Bulgaria, Croatia, to the Canary Islands, Madeiru, Cyprus and the Greek islands of Rhodes, Heraklion, Zakynthos and Corfu. Sardinia should follow in the next wave, Mallorca and Turkish Antalya.

Of course, the situation will continue to develop and change a little over time.

Portugal: We are open
This country then, which opened the border and some shops and restaurants in mid-March, became one of the first states according to Reuters, who welcomed back visitors. Santos Silva Portuguese Foreign Minister stated, that health checks will be carried out at airports.

Greece: Maybe even without tests

Greece is starting the tourist season 15. June, from 1. International flights will resume in July.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, negotiations on this are underway, that Czech citizens would not have to submit a test, nor be quarantined.

There are currently special measures on the beaches: the distance between umbrellas and sunbeds must be at least four meters, only two sunbeds can be placed under one umbrella (families have an exception), refreshments are served at the window, the sale of alcohol and contact sports are prohibited on the beaches, in some hotel restaurants, the self-service buffet will be replaced by classic service.

Turkey: Since August
After flights resume, which is planned for August, five-star hotels in Antalya will once again welcome domestic and foreign guests from June. They will start working with proper precautions, such as temperature measurement, spacing or disinfection of luggage. Of course it will, that these hotels will limit buffet meals as a precaution, at least initially, and they will dispense individual portions. Some technological measures are also being introduced, for example, instead of cards and room keys, guests receive a QR code on their smartphone.

Croatia: It is now available
The country has already opened its borders (the island of Brač remains inaccessible) and abolished the obligation to submit a negative test or the necessity of fourteen-day isolation.
Croatia is very important to Czech tourists, and thus continues to loosen the measure.

At the moment, it is no longer necessary to present a certificate of accommodation or boat rental at the border.
In the country 25. Restaurants and shops opened in May, a face mask must be worn in indoor public spaces.

On beaches and everywhere else, people should keep two meters apart.

Egypt: We are talking about years
"Egypt is still closed to foreign tourists, the restoration of the flight connection is currently being discussed and we believe, that it won't last long. Domestic tourism is likely to take off in June.

Even here they cannot do without preventive measures: The rooms of the most popular hotels will be occupied alternately, so that every other room remains free, a disinfection corridor will lead from the parking lot to the hotel, suitcases will be disinfected, fewer clients and employees are expected, but also a safer form of food delivery.

They are also introducing a QR code here, at the same time, each hotel has its own doctor, and larger hotels set aside a floor for potential sick clients.

Similar to Egypt, Tunisia is also in this situation.

Španělsko: No quarantine since July
Spain is also slowly returning to normal. Tourists, who come here after 1. July, they will not have to quarantine upon return. 25. In May, the beaches here have already opened for swimming.

The safest thing to do is to go to the least affected, and at the same time very beautiful areas of the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands, between which a safe corridor is planned at the same time.

Bulgaria: Restrictions are easing
The country could open to Czech tourists in the second half of June. It is gradually easing the restrictions in place and is preparing to return to its original state. Some hotels are already open, also swimming pools, outdoor bars, restaurant and entry to national parks is also allowed.

Prices comparable to last year
The current situation should not have any significant effect on prices yet. "Tour prices are not increasing and remain at last year's level, when the average trip to Greece cost 15 300 CZK and to Egypt 15 000 CZK per passenger.

It is clear, that all travel agencies and other tourism entities must now take this into account, that the situation can change again at any time and in any way.

But it already looks promising🙏

Take care…
