Because we try to do our job as best as possible, we also find out CURRENT and TRUE INFORMATION for you 🙂 if you are at least a little interested in the area of lifestyle, food and nutrition, find yourself 10 minutes to read the interview with Mgr. MONIKA TELUPILOVA, DiS. – nutritional therapist, nutritionist and nutritional guarantor of the Varied Diet project.

I interviewed Monika especially for you 🙂

  1. Money, tell us, what led you to that, that you have joined the Varied Diet project?

I started working with the Varied Diet project, because I like the concept of it. I find it very useful, convey information and educate children interactively, parents and schools in the field of nutrition. I see another benefit in raising the attention of parents and trying to prepare snacks for children. In addition, the possibility of consulting children's meals with a qualified adviser directly in the school environment. This is one of the convenient ways, how to get parents to change the diet in the family, because there is usually the cause of undesirable eating habits of children. The concept of a diet without unnecessary chemistry is also in line with this, what I pass on to my clients and the general public. Labeling suitable foods with a logo makes it easier for consumers to quickly navigate the range offered and to choose better quality ingredients.

  1. What does the Varied Diet project primarily deal with?? Who is he supposed to help?, on whom it should affect?

This project tries to bring food without unnecessary chemicals to school canteens, canteen, buffets, but also to children and families. The goal is to change children's eating habits in the long term, teach them to navigate the food menu and actively involve them in the food preparation process. The result is activity, which they enjoy, children like food and snacks can be included in the menu of the school canteen or buffet. The child also passes on this information to the family with the recipes, so they can continue to prepare suitable snacks from home. The most common and requested activity in schools, which the Pestrá project provides, jsou Project days, when nutritionists or nutritional therapists prepare snacks with the children according to recommended recipes. This is a four hour process, which takes place as part of school teaching, when children in groups prepare dishes according to recipes, he draws an advertisement for them, write the composition, they come up with a name and finally present their original snack to others. In most cases, these activities take place in school canteens, so even female cooks or heads of school canteens are drawn into the action and have the opportunity to taste the snacks, possibly include them in the menu. The activity ends with a tasting, children receive diplomas, wooden spoons and mainly home recipes.

  1. How can schools get involved in the project?? How they can find out about the project?

Schools, who are interested in cooperation, they can apply via the contact form on the website www.pestrastrava.cz, alternatively, they can contact the nutritionist directly, which operates in the locality of the given school. The project is very active and you can see it in various media, articles on the Internet and we also appeared several times on the program Sama doma on Czech television.

  1. What is your task in the project??

It's my job to oversee that, to all information, which are presented to the public and in schools, were in accordance with current knowledge in the field of nutrition and with general nutritional recommendations. We want, for this project to be based on professional foundations, not from various unsubstantiated alternative nutritional trends.

  1. Where would you like to move the project?, get in the next months?

The project is still developing and the aim is to reach other schools, who will be involved in the project. This year, the project is also expanding to Slovakia. Another novelty for this year is the expansion of the product range to include high-quality fish, which is very tasty and boneless. This fish is called African catfish and can help schools and families solve the problem of insufficient consumption of fish and fish dishes. I personally liked the catfish very much.

  1. And now a little differently … what are your personal goals in your working life? They are mainly satisfied clients? 🙂 or what drives you forward? What motivates you at work??

My current goal is to implement a new project, which I have been thinking about for a long time… As I have limited time opportunities to pass on information when working personally with clients, so the new project should allow me a new way of communicating with clients. Clients motivate me a lot at work, their results, but also personal stories and that, how together we manage the daily pitfalls of life. Because I have the opportunity to do work, which I enjoy and fulfill, so it is not difficult to find motivation to continue working. When I see, that clients are satisfied and it helps to increase their quality of life, confidence and people feel better, so i know, that it makes sense.
